Polk Audio RTi A7 Floor standing speakers

The model A7 is positioned as more affordable version of the older A9. The differences lie in the size of the body and in the number of dynamical heads. A7 in bass section (it can be easily called a passive subwoofer) has two branded woofers with the woofers on the polymer basis. There are two bass-reflexes in front and from behind. The rear Power Port Plus with a conical diffuser is the self-engineered product of Polk Audio. There is a compartment for 16-cm midrange with own ARC port in the top part of the body. An inch tweeter with silk membrane is made by Dynamic Balance technology.

Polk Audio Rti A7 speaker systems have very wide frequency and especially dynamical range. In conjunction with high productivity this gives great opportunities for sounding big spaces. The sound of this pair is fast, with correct attack, dynamical and structurally proper bass register. High frequencies are crystal and literally sparkle with shades, but sometimes can be perceived as harsh. Apparently, due to the raised edges of the frequency range sometimes there is the feeling of a bit stifled middle. Probably, this is the idea: the systems clearly prefer drive of the playing at the expense of elaboration of subtle tonal shades. Despite of somewhat chaotic arrangement of imaginary sources at the edges of stereo base, the sound space is built on a literally concert scale.
