Wharfedale Evo 30 Signature Floor standing speakers

Externally, Wharfedale Evo 30 Signature does not almost differ from the original model - the only visible change is the "walnut" finish of the body. The systems are designed by 2,5-way scheme, where a pair of 170-mm Kevlar drivers works in the lower part of the working band. They look similar externally, but have different construction - the lower one is equipped with four-layered sound coil (the upper one has a two-layered) and more decent magnetic system. A cast aluminum frame, which effectively protects the driver from external vibrations, is among the tweeter's advantages. The frequency range, at the same time, is not extended, its upper border is 28 kHz.

Subjectively, the sound of the British pair is perceived to be quite balanced, without apparent accents on individual frequency segments. High resolution throughout the range gladdens, bass is correct and the middle is informative. High frequencies are very natural - extraneous noises or other artifacts are almost not observed in the tweeter's work. The sound character of Wharfedale Evo 30 Signature is calm and balanced, but if necessary these systems may turn up the heat, not too aiming to unlimited drive. Sound stage abounds in pleasant details, including several clearly distinct plans in depth. The images of instruments are partly increased in scale, but this does not affect the accuracy of their positioning.
