Focal Chorus 714 Floor standing speakers

The most compact floor model of the updated Chorus line is optimal for rooms of a relatively small area. Thanks to the 2.5-way design, French engineers managed to significantly simplify the separation filter, collecting it from the minimum number of components. Design is a bass-reflex with forward port, which facilitates the installation of acoustics in the room.

In a rigid case with a narrow profile there are a pair of low-frequency drivers and an inch tweeter with the patented TNV2 concave dome. Driver diffusers have a small diameter (130 mm) and are made of Polyglass brand composite. Despite the not too large volume of the body, the declared lower limit of reproduction is 52 Hz.

And in fact, Focal Chorus 714 demonstrate strong dynamics and energetic (albeit not radically deep) bass. The maximum sound vividness can also be considered as the important feature of this model. This is expressed both in the general high spectral resolution and in the reliable transmission of the timbres of many natural instruments. The upper range is presented in the best traditions of the Focal brand. Despite somewhat higher than usual activity of the tweeter, this spectrum is airy and carefully structured, even the imperceptible nuances of the phonogram do not escape the attention of the listener. There were practically no comments to the sound stage (of course, at the proper placement of the system).
