Denon AVR-2807 AV-receiver

Denon AVR-2807 receiver will not leave you cold by neither its characteristics nor the number of features. It's enough to give a look at the description and it becomes clear that a movie lover cannot find a better device for such money. Bend your fingers: there are all types of surround decoders, digital signal processing is performed by a powerful modern DSP, switching through the universal digital HDMI protocol is possible, there is an automatic tuning system Audissey MultiEQ XT that takes care of all the problems with speaker setup. And if this system does not cope, then a very advanced bass manager is in your disposal, through which you can set crossover frequency and the tonal correction by a nine-band equalizer for each loudspeaker. Add the presence of multi-zone modes, video converter 12 bit/216 MHz and interface for connecting iPod player. It is made in Japan. Is it possible to dream about something more?

If very briefly, the sound of Denon AVR-2807 can be described as follows: very informative, spatially, but somehow dry. The upper range, if you send the signal to a direct 7.1 analog input, is transmitted in details, cleanly, with perfect dynamics, but ... apart from the rest of the band. Such an effect arises, apparently, due to the fact that in the middle and bass ranges acoustic details are heard worse - films and music programs are reproduced not so much colorfully and with vivid emotions as technically. But we managed to shake this device. It turned out that it was enough to switch the source to digital inputs, and to choose loudspeakers with light cellulose diffusers. In this case, the mechanics will not leave a trace and AVR-2807 will be able to convey the entire spectrum of emotions.
