TEAC A-R600 Amplifier

The amplifier is seriously beautiful, as evidenced by the exquisite gold edging and careful graphics of the inscriptions. But it does not leave the feeling that its overly solid dimensions are determined by the design of the front panel, and not by the internal content. In this sense, the interior of the A-R600 partly serves as a clear example of the development of amplifier technology. So its block of output transistors, mounted on a pipe with forced cooling by a fan, is similar to that used in the mini-amplifier of the 500th series of the company. On the other hand, as a well-known manufacturer of quality CD sources, cassette recorders and MD recorders, and more recently also CD recorders, the company cannot leave the owner of its amplifier without an adjustable microphone input. Convenience is far from superfluous, since there are practically no recording devices with a microphone input. The remote control is universal, used with almost all new models of amplifiers and receivers of the company, and therefore has buttons that can only work with AV devices.

With considerable power, TEAC has a solid margin, which is the foundation for building a building called sound quality. The walls of this building match the foundation and were built in such a way as to be a reliable support for many years. Spacious halls not only do not limit low frequencies, but sometimes it seems that there are even a little more of them than in the original. However, the bass is well contained, which gives it a certain density and tangible outlines. A moderately heated fireplace does not allow you to reproach him for the coldness of the sound or, conversely, for excessive warmth. However, in the interior there is a noticeable inflection in the passion for decoration; sometimes a clear definition of high frequencies, crossing the boundaries of the optimal, turns into an increased contrast of sound. By the way, it is possible that fans of hard and hard music will like it, taking into account the considerable output power of the amplifier, as well as those who believe that its loudspeakers have insufficient sharpness of high frequencies.
