Boston Acoustics SoundWare S 5.1 system

Boston Acoustics SoundWare S 5.1 kit consists of five identical satellites and an active medium-sized subwoofer. Miniature monitors have a two-band design, a tandem of a 9-cm woofer and a dome tweeter with a diameter of 19 mm is used as drivers. They are made in unusual faceted cases, which allow you to install them in a variety of places. And, if desired, the loudspeakers can easily be mounted on a wall (with the help of special swivel brackets).

A proprietary 10-inch driver in bass-reflex design, directed to floor, is at the heart of an active subwoofer. It is powered by a built-in amplifier with a Basstrac servo system (300 watts peak), which monitors the accuracy of the diffuser. The subwoofer has a single RCA input for connection to the receiver, so there will be no any difficulties with switching.

There are absolutely no aggressive notes in the sound of Boston Acoustics SoundWare S 5.1 - it is extremely ordered and even partly comfortable. The width of the working band is not particularly shocking, sometimes you can find some shortage of the most air components. However, in most popular musical genres this feature will hardly affect. The low-frequency part entrusted to the subwoofer has powerful energy and decent depth, but is somewhat smoothed out by dynamics. Sometimes percussion instruments have a lack of sharpness, and the most significant bass notes look slightly amorphous. In multi-channel mode the system shows a seamless sound field that maximizes immersion in the movie atmosphere. So, the pleasure from watching is assured.
