Canton AS 22 Subwoofer

AS 22 is a relatively small but very heavy subwoofer, which is installed on little legs, providing the desired isolation from vibrations. The body's walls are made of MDF. The speaker and bass-reflex port are located on the faceplate, being closed by metal grill - a useful thing if there is a potential danger to a defenseless diffuser. By the way, the speaker's membrane is made of cellulose, which is coated by a thin layer of graphite improving its (membrane's) piston properties. AS 22 is well-equipped. There is a full set of input and output terminals - linear and high-amplitude. The phase of radiation can be changed (0°, 180°). There is a system of automatic turning on. The presence of magnetic shielding allows you to put the sub close to TV.

Graceful AS 22 showed a "combat" bass. Powerful streams of LF-energy fully saturate a sound image of theatrical events. The system positively contacted with reference (compact) satellites, showing an excellent response to impact force. The sub shoots great from both howitzer and Kalashnikov rifle. Although the power reserve allows working in shocking modes, it is undesirable to practice upon the amplification - some artifacts become noticeable at high volume levels, which are probably associated with turbulent noise of bass-reflex. However, it doesn't almost disturb in movie.

Canton AS 22 is quite a good low-frequency addiction to theatrical or musical system from small speaker systems. In home theatre the sub provides a reliable, informative bass with a decent overload reserve.
