Energy ESW-M6 Subwoofer

Energy ESW-M6 can be classified as ultra-compact. This cube with an edge of 20 cm weighs about five kilograms, which is why at first it seems like a beautiful toy. However, it contains as many as three drivers: a 6.5-inch active one with an anodized aluminum membrane on a proprietary elliptical suspension and a pair of passive radiators of the same caliber. So in terms of the total area of drivers, this kid is only slightly inferior to the traditional design with a 12-inch driver. And the built-in amplifier is also impressive - 800 watts at the peak. There is a fairly wide range of cutoff frequency adjustment from 50 to 200 Hz and a smooth phase change. As for the input connectors, there are only linear RCA, but they are most often needed for switching with modern receivers. The mysterious WA Port was also found on the rear panel - an interface that is "planned to be used in the future." Build and finish quality of Energy ESW-M6 is simply gorgeous, the black lacquered body shines like a mirror.

The sound of this baby stands out by expression and incredible speed. Fast parts of percussion instruments are simply out of competition, the bass guitar is embossed, but the lower bass is still lacking. But it is surprising that with such dimensions there is no compression or delay of attack at high volume. Dynamics as a whole is very good, but Energy ESW-M6 is inferior to larger competitors in this parameter.

When playing soundtracks, the absence of a low-frequency base is felt more strongly. However, this subwoofer will work perfectly in a small room with a set of miniature satellites. After all, it was designed precisely for this.
