Polk Audio PSW110 SubwooferThe 110th model has, perhaps, the most optimal ratio of dimensions, sound potential and price among the extensive PSW family of the Polk Audio. The subwoofer, designed for small spaces, is equipped with a 10-inch driver with a composite diffuser, made by using the patented Dynamic Balance technology. Traditionally for Polk Audio, the bass-reflex port is located on the bottom of the body. Attention to the quality of performance can be also assessed by the solid mass of PSW110 - more than 15 kilograms. Built-in pulse amplifier has a very impressive power - 200 watts. In terms of switching capabilities, this model is perhaps the most attractive among competitors. There are acoustic (spring type), and linear input and output, as well as a separate LFE connector. The sound nature of Polk Audio PSW110 is lively, extremely dynamic and expressive. At the same time, the almost complete absence of overloads, even at a deafening volume, looks completely surprising. The depth of the bass is more than enough. Shock sounds are transmitted perfectly due to the rapid attack. But when playing extremely low bass, the sound loses intelligibility, moreover, the sounds of the bass-reflex port become noticeable. In some recordings, bass instruments (bass guitar) do not always seem to be enough accurate and structurally complete. In general, the sound of the sub is in many respects correct, but nevertheless it is more correct to use it with the smallest possible working band. The same applies to home theater, where with these settings you can get almost exemplary bass quality. ![]() |
