Polk Audio DSW microPRO 3000 Subwoofer

Polk Audio DSW microPRO 3000 differs from the younger one, DSW microPRO 1000, by size of the emitters. In our case there are two emitters: a 10-inch driver is put on the front panel and an additional passive membrane of the same caliber is located in the bottom part of the body. Such a cunning arrangement allowed to get a powerful deep bass (according to the specification, the lower border is 19 Hz) with high speed characteristics. High status of the model is confirmed by incredibly powerful (2400W max) built-in amplifier, giving a head start to much more expensive competitors. Another interesting detail - the presence of the branded automatic calibration system - AutoPRO with a remote microphone, designed to fight against unwanted room resonances. Control is also possible with a help of miniature card remote control, which is already becoming a common attribute of high class technics.

Bass performed by Polk Audio can be described as the most accurate and organized, almost devoid of third side-tones. At the same time we should note a bit monotonous manner of work with energetic bass passages, which, however, does not spoil the overall impression. A slight compression can arise at high volume levels, so it is not advisable to use them. Using presets, you can choose the most suitable for a particular location of setting. And sometimes the extent of such optimization is felt much more than expected.
