Canton Ergo Sub 650 Subwoofer

The branded driver (310-mm in diameter) of the Canton Ergo Sub 650 subwoofer is equipped with a light and durable aluminum alloy diffuser. The sub works in a bass-reflex design, with the socket of the air port brought to the floor (which improves the return in the lower part of the working band). Built-in amplifier has sufficient power and is capable of delivering up to 300 watts in peak. To reduce distortion it uses additional filtering of infra-low frequencies (SC technology) and, also, compensating circuit for room acoustics deficiencies with three presets. The advanced switching unit allows you to use the sub in systems of various configurations, and the opportunity of smooth phase adjustment is useful for fine setup with the loudspeakers. The subwoofer is made in Germany.

Among the strong features of the model we should mention excellent speed of reproducible bass, great attack and a high degree of control in any situation. The depth of the low frequencies is sufficient for a typical area of the room. Individual bursts of a signal (percussion sounds) are worked out naturally. As the level grows at the lowest part of the working band, the outlines of notes become slightly blurred, and the bass pattern itself becomes a little coarser. No more serious claims to the work of the Canton Ergo Sub 650 subwoofer arose even when listening to organ works and symphonic classics. Moreover, the sound was especially impressive at a comfortable volume level. In this case, the sound is maximum detailed and leaves almost no reason for criticism.
