REL T-ZERO SubwooferIn due time the British REL literally shocked the market by ultra-compact Quake subwoofer - it was considered before that a true bass machine simply must have big sizes. Apparently, wanting to repeat this huge success, the company included a miniature T-ZERO in its assortment. Its sizes are very modest - the body is almost a perfect cube with an edge, barely laying over 20 cm. Following own traditions, REL engineers chose a closed design and directed the emitter to the floor. Its caliber is quite modest - only 165 mm, and the power amplifier of D class also does not differ by special power - it gives 100W in nominal. Like other subs of this brand, T-ZERO can be connected through both high-level interface (Speakon connector) and linear inputs. Despite of its miniature sizes, contribution of the sub is noticeable even with at work with floor speaker systems. At the same time the sound of the British baby is extremely natural. It has correct attack and amazing speed data. Speaking about depth, basses are limited only by construction - after all, it's difficult to argue with physics. In general, if consider T-ZERO as a remake of the famous Quale (which is very similar to the truth), the idea of developers was no slouch. Lying in small space, there is the possibility to significantly extend low-frequency range that is especially important for shelf speaker system with small volume. |
