Tannoy Eyris DC1 loudspeaker has a classical branded Dual Concentric driver: 175-mm driver with a cellulose diffuser plays bass and midrange and the tweeter with 25-mm titanium dome, coordinated with it by time response, is installed in a special metal channel. However, in Eyris DC1 the engineers installed super tweeter in the top part of the body with the same dome as in the main tweeter, but it plays band from 16 to 50 kHz. The innovation is called Wideband - as you can see, the Scots have something to set against the competitors from KEF.

Finally, there is just a funny detail. On the back panel there are five terminals around the circle! It is clear for what four ones are - for bi-wiring. But the fifth? This is "ground". Do not bother it. This is just an additional means of security.

Listening. Stereo picture, which is formed by Eyris DC1, can be held up as an example of how sharp and accurate can the localization be in transfer of spacious width. However, unfortunately, we can't already make the example of good separation from it. Depth exists, but the separation of plans is distractive.

The sound of Tannoy Eyris DC1 will seem to be too strong and grand from the first seconds: top is elaborated with harsh notes, vocal - with coolness, there are no hints of "rubber" in basses, and texture dominates the dynamics. But this is a deceptive impression. When the systems warm up, you forget about all claims. The sound obtains lots of nuances and liveliness - all that we appreciate in Tannoy.
