Morel Octave Signature Bookshelf Bookshelf speakersUnusual layout of these loudspeakers is caused by solely engineering reasons - both drivers are installed in isolated volumes. The bottom compartment is designed for a unique self-produced 130-mm mid-bass driver. It has an external sound coil with the diameter of 3 inches, wound by aluminum wire by Hexatech technology. This driver is loaded on artful bass reflex: backward pair of air ports has unusual ports of triangular cross-section. In the upper part of the body there is a 28-mm tweeter with a soft dome, impregnated by original compound Acuflex, which significantly reduces non-linear distortions. An original second order filter, assembled on audiophile components, connects drivers between each other. The sound of Morel Octave Signature Bookshelf little depends on volume - audible distortions are not observed even at extreme levels. MIDs are very informative and plastic and sometimes cause associations with significantly more expensive speaker systems. The sound of Octave Signature Bookshelf is crystal clear. Starting with weight by depth basses and finishing with air top, the playback is extremely balanced. We should note very high sound resolution, especially at mid- and high-frequency spectrums. Slight omissions can be found only in terms of dynamics - a number of especially brisk in this regards phonograms sounded smoothed. And the stage is one of the best among the competitors. |
