ASW Genius 100 Bookshelf speakers

The body of the German ASW Genius 100 monitors has a big depth and the emitters are mounted on the front panel through polished metallic strap. An inch tweeter has a cloth dome with damping impregnation and a 130-mm diffuser of bass driver is made of fiberglass, reinforced with carbon. The bands are divided by the second order filter, assembled from the components with minimal signal loss. Internal wiring is made with silver wire; input terminals are massive, gold-plated. The sound immediately charms with incredible purity. It is strict and carefully elaborated in all registers, including very deep for such volume basses. Generally, the character of ASW Genius 100 rather tends to be a monitor, almost devoid of noticeable coloring. The only minus that should be mentioned is an increased efficiency of the tweeter. It shows the highest naturalness and resolution, but sometimes against the general background HF components slightly dominate over the rest of the spectrum. Probably, this is the reason of timbre "coolness", sometimes appearing at mid frequencies, and a kind of distance of vocals.
