Mirage Omni 150 Bookshelf speakers

Omnipolar (omnidirectional) speaker system has already become a hallmark of this Canadian company. There are many systems in the Mirage production program, which are made by this system - from products of High End class to built-in models and satellites for home cinema.

Speaker system OMNI 150 refers to a budget line and is the only shelf monitor of OMNI series, which also includes two floor models and the system of central channel. An unusual form of the body is resulting from upper placement of speakers (there is a 150mm fiberglass woofer and an inch aluminum tweeter with acoustic lens on the beveled top panel) and quite understandable desire to avoid internal resonances and the bass-reflex port at the same time is located at the front.

Strong point of OMNI 150 is the ability to completely dissolve in space. However, it should be noted that the price for this is some enlargement and blurring of sound images. The system has a tight powerful bass, which is still presented a bit outsized and lazily. Quite good naturalness of upper frequencies couples with some lack of "extreme top", which appears only on the most difficult phonograms with dense spectrum. Also we can note a slight tint of mid frequencies, but it is not too evident.
