DALI Ikon 2 Mk2 Bookshelf speakers

Updated Ikon series with index of Mk2 was created in accordance with the wishes of many owners of previous models in the whole world. Externally the system hasn't almost changed, only the front panel now has smooth to the touch dark matte surface.

LF heads were developed for the updated series, which allowed getting richer sound in bass area. In older monitors, Ikon 2 Mk2, such driver has the caliber of 6,5 inches, but in comparison with the previous model its energetic potential has significantly increased. Here is also a reputable hybrid module of two tweeters - soft-dome and ribbon, but crossovers herewith were carefully improved.

DALI engineers managed to get richer sound without loss of detailing. Ikon Mk2 sounds much greater, with full and elaborated bass register. Sound stage was significantly improved too. It differs by correct proportions. Imaginary sources are localized at the edges best of all.

Overall tonal balance has also changed - aurally, it is perceived to be more linear, only with a slight emphasis to upper frequencies. But we remember that it is not recommended to direct DALI systems to a listener; it should stand in parallel with front line. In this case the upper range is accurate and balanced.
