MJ Acoustics Pro 50 MkIII SubwooferThis is the third version of the youngest and most compact model in the MJ Acoustics lineup. The developers did not drastically change either the appearance or the principle of a closed design, concentrating all their efforts on the optimization of internal components. Pro 50 MkIII uses an updated driver of 10 inches in the diameter with a steel basket and a dual magnetic system. The rated power of the built-in amplifier is 120 watts. Unlike most competitors, the amplifying circuit is assembled on high-current field-effect transistors and operates in the traditional AB class, which provides the highest quality sound. Both high-level (Speakon connector) and linear LFE inputs are provided for connection, and the filtering parameters and the level for each of them are set separately. Despite its compactness, MJ Acoustics Pro 50 MkIII subwoofer has a lively, assertive character. The main bass line is legible - accuracy does not reduce at all even in intricate jazz passages. Separately, we should say about the accurate reproduction of the attack and the naturalness of low-frequency relief. The speed qualities are excellent, the precisely formed after-sounds are no less impressive. Having a not very record depth of low frequencies, it is impossible not to single out the absence of the body side-tones. However, at high volume, when the driver is operating at an increased amplitude, you may notice signs of overload. To avoid this, both band pass and volume level should be limited. ![]() |
