Magnat Quantum 653 Bookshelf speakers

Magnat Quantum 653 are two-way speaker systems with traditional bass-reflex acoustic design. The port is on the back wall. The medium sized bodies are carefully damped. To minimize standing waves the side walls are rounded, the thickness of lacquered front panel made of MDF is 25 mm. Complex construction is in drivers too. 30-mm soft dome of the tweeter is coated with a special compound and enclosed into a small horn for the expansion of polar pattern. Mid-woofer with the caliber of 6,5 inches is equipped with the diffuser made of aluminum with ceramic coating. All internal wiring is made by high-quality cable and two pairs of massive spring terminals are provided for communication with an amplifier.

The main advantages of these monitors are explosive dynamics and power of playback. Quantum 653 are full of energy at basses, the bottom is deep enough and well articulated. A light, warm coloration is inherent to the middle. The upper range is slightly shifted, but pure and detailed. Discants are accurate and the most airy components appear in full. The space is built quite wide and extended to depth, however, the positions of instruments are not ideal.
