Quad 11L2 Bookshelf speakers

Quad 11L2 can work as stereo pair in a small room or rear pair in multi-channel complexes. Dynamical heads are 25-mm tweeter with a fabric membrane and powerful magnetic system and 5-inch Kevlar midbass. The bands are divided on 2200 Hz by crossover, assembled from audiophile components. The body's construction is quite conservative, but the execution is very good, with the system of internal couplings, which provide an increased rigidity. Finish with natural veneer is very impressive - such a perfect quality is rare for this money.

As always for Quad, 11L2 does not give reason for serious knocks. It is adjusted and accurate, with great tonal balance and barely noticeable color over the entire working range. Linearity of sound sometimes strikes, you even forget about real cost of this system.

Midrange section is exact and detailed. Quad 11L2 carefully convey the smallest nuances to a listener, skillfully highlight the key points and keep emotional content of any phonograms. The upper range, perfectly paired with the rest part of the range, is pure and differs by high resolution. The tweeter can be faulted only for excessive caution in relation to modern recordings with accentuated high frequencies. It is not excluded that this is made specifically for more comfortable sound. The dynamics seems to be slightly weakened, but nevertheless it is always enough. The stage has proper proportions and stable at any volume levels. Localization of imaginary sources of sound is not perfect in it, but very decent.
