DALI Lektor 1 Bookshelf speakers

Among the variety of speaker systems manufactured by the Dutch company Lektor 1 monitors are distinguished by modern appearance and eye-catching elements of decor. They are quite compact and designed for sounding small rooms or back channels in home theatre (in this case you can hang them on the wall, fasteners are included). The construction is two-way with 11-cm midbass and 28-mm domical tweeter. A pair of miniature bass-reflex ports is placed on the front panel. Crossover is extremely laconic, built from selected components that gave the possibility to be good with one pair of input terminals. Internal space of the body is carefully damped and this provides an absolute acoustic inertness.

The first impression from the systems' sound: Dali Lektor 1 differ by very good dynamics and intelligibility, but with a bit lightened tonal balance. Bass is moderately strict and perfectly damped. Its speed is just terrific, but deep bottoms are, of course, above strength of system with such volume. Sound resolution in the whole working range is just superb - the most subtle nuances of the recording are heard. The top is very accurate and exemplary clear. The middle is well drawn in timbres, but individual instruments are still transferred with some simplifications. Body's side-tones are absent even at quite high volume level. Sound stage is very wide and large. It is extremely ordered, without obvious emptiness in the center, and even has some echelon plans in depth. Claims can be made to the presentation of instruments in the foreground - sometimes there is a feeling that they are too close to the listener.
