Audiovector Si1 Super Bookshelf speakersThe Danish Audiovector at once produces five variants of Si1 model. They differ by dynamical heads, crossover design and a number of body's elements and the manufactures give the opportunity to gradually upgrade the minor versions to top. The tandem of woofer with webbed (carbon/fiberglass) diffuser and the branded tweeter with unusual diaphragm is used in Si1 Super. The diaphragm is woven from the finest silk threads with added nylon - the developers have come to this combination exactly in the course of numerous experiments. To reduce distortions at high frequencies the tweeter is loaded on the back air channel, which damps the membrane at high volume levels. The manner of playing of Audiovector Si1 speaker systems is generally neutral, without apparent failures of linearity. First of all we will note transparent and maximally clear midrange and neat, fast bass. However, overall tonal balance is still slightly shifted up and due to this reason some too bright notes skips sometimes in total balanced sound. Meanwhile, the tweeter is almost exemplary by resolution and adequately fits the rest party of the range. Low-frequency potential of the loudspeakers is not too impressive (this is primarily about the bass depth), but in the context of the structure of playing is almost excellent. Strikingly accurate sound stage became another trump card of the model. Having not the most impressive scale, the space is truly three-dimensional and sometimes even holographic. ![]() |
