Cyrus 6a AmplifierCyrus products are always perfectly recognized, as all components of this brand are in powerful cases molded from a resilient aluminum alloy. Cyrus 6a has a relatively low power output (2 x 40 W), but, according to the manufacturer, it can work stably even with low-impedance loudspeakers. The owner will have six analog inputs, a headphone jack (on the rear panel) and a pair of outputs from the preamplifier. The fact is that Cyrus has been propagandizing for various schemes of multi-band amplification for a long time, for the organization of which the company produces power amplifiers of several types. As an upgrade it is possible to install an optional DAC board, equipped, in addition to coaxial and optical terminals, with a modern USB interface. Cyrus 6a amplifier has extremely organized and energetic sound. Despite the low passport power, we noted excellent control in the lower part of the range, where the relief of bass instruments is easily traced. The bass is extremely concise, deep enough and absolutely not slowed down by attack. The expressive middle seems to be worked out to the smallest details and is absolutely not veiled. Meanwhile, voices are sometimes cool and not too animated. Closer to the upper band there is a shortage of air components, so it is worth experimenting here with inter-unit cables. Space can be described as fairly compact in scale, but with exact preservation of all proportions. ![]() |
