The speaker's caliber is 300 mm and any man's fist easily goes through two bass-reflex ports. Linear input, high-amplitude inputs and outputs are provided for switching. Judging by the results of measurements, some of bass is cut at the outputs for satellites - below 75 Hz. The sub effectively radiates the upper and a part of mid bass; the area of stable sensitivity is low; lower border on the level is 10 dB-55Hz. Nonlinear distortions are moderate.

It is difficult to correlate impressions, generated by powerful bass, with the price of the sub. Often much more expensive samples show such power. To blow something is a piece of cake. The lack of the deepest components does not interfere to "charge" with flair the theatrical atmosphere. If you combine 12A with correct shelf speaker systems, drum instruments are firmly focused without secondary low-frequency piles. It is undesirable to put the band on maximum - bass quality decreases, coloring is possible that becomes noticeable on musical apps. Thus, the usage of very "weak" in the low-frequency sense shelf speaker systems in front is impolitic. Although in the theatre the above-mentioned artifacts are not critical. But it is better to use compact speaker system as a front, which is able to emit independently some amount of low frequencies, and when you will get a seamless large-scale sound picture. SLAM 12A is a reliable theatrical subwoofer for medium-sized rooms. Dynamical resource of bass should be used in quite a narrow band; luckily the reserve of overload in LF-system is significant.
