Miniature monitors Polk Audio TL3 can be easily confused with satellites, but the manufacturer gives them much broader authorities. The systems' layout is two-way, acoustic design is the branded Power Port bass-reflex, located in the lower part of the body. High-frequency section is presented by an annular fabric 19-mm (3/4") tweeter, placed into the hollow of Time Lens horn. Miniature body allowed to install 8-cm (3-1/4") midbass head, but it has an increased impact. Among the distinctive features we will also give emphasis to polypropylene diffuser with phase equalizing header, increased sound coil and highly efficient magnetic system. Several variants of loudspeakers' placement are provided - on stand or wall using the supplies bracket.

By all signs (control listening confirms this too), the monitors are designed to work together with active subwoofer. However, within the working band the sound can be described as transparent and extremely detailed. First, the systems can boast of informative middle and absolutely complete presentation of the upper range, the sound resolution in which is sometimes amazing. Despite of small size, Polk Audio TL3 forms a significant by scale and depth sound space with decent by accuracy localization of individual instruments. At the optimal arrangement of monitors relatively to listening place there is an illusion of complete disappearance of the system from the scene.
