Mission 790SE speaker systems are the embodiment of a number of interesting technical solutions. Firstly you pay attention on the distinctive location of the heads - the tweeter is installed lower bass driver. According to the manufacturer's analysis, this provides better focusing, bringing the character of radiation to a point source. The tweeter has the standard caliber - 25 mm; its soft dome is placed into a shallow horn for better dispersion. Low-frequency head is relatively small (13 cm), but due to the increased speed of the suspension it is able to work out a decent depth of bass. Its diffuser is made of fiberglass and equipped with a conical nozzle to provide better phase coherence. 790SE is available in three variants of finish: black and white lacquer and mahogany.

Speaking about the character of sound, Mission 790SE can be considered as quite neutral. They have quite clear interpretation of musical recordings with well-drawn middle and pure open tops. Low-frequency part is not very convincing by depth, but bass differs by correct attack and articulation. We should particularly mention very high resolution in the whole range - none of details escapes. At high volume levels the sound is already not so comfortable. Firstly a noticeable compression and side tones at low frequencies appear - the diffuser no longer copes with large amplitudes of the signal. The forming of sound panorama can be considered to be very effective. The stage is quite compact in width.
