Wharfedale Jade 3 Bookshelf speakers

Jade 3, large monitors, are designed to be installed on powerful stands - not every stand can hold their almost 12 kg weight. A massive, lacquered body is sealed; it is a three-way construction. A 165-mm driver made of the patented Acufibre material (reinforced textile consisting of filaments of carbon and fiberglass) holds the main dynamic loading. Such diffuser has increased rigidity and resistance to unwanted resonances. Mid-range is one of Wharfedale's know-how. Its 3-inch dome is made of aluminum alloy under high pressure by Alu-pulp technology. The tweeter's construction is almost identical except the size of diaphragm, the caliber of which is standard - 1 inch. Five different variants of finish are available for this speaker system - four types of veneer or black piano lacquer.

Jade 3 is allotted by excellent dynamical qualities. Herewith, there are no any body's side tones or compression at any levels of playing, up to maximum. The width of operating range is equally impressive. The monitors work effectively starting from quite deep bass and finishing at weightless, but well elaborated tops. Good attention was paid to middle. This spectrum is rich in details and characterized by righteous natural timbres. Bass band is quite accurate, but the attack is slightly smoothed - the sharpest sounds are played easygoing. Sound stage pleases not only by correct scale but also by extremely accurate positioning of imaginary sources.
