DALI Concept Sub Subwoofer

The only in Concept series active subwoofer is prepared in accordance with the original recipe of the company. The basis is a 12-inch head with the diffuser made of cellulose, impregnated with damping compound, which works in the closed acoustic design. The body is compact for such a large driver and at the same time all measures for damping of internal volume were taken.

Side walls of the body are cut out of MDF panels and the frontal part, supporting the increased load, looks like an absolute monolith. Nominal power of the built-in amplifier is 160W but at peak it can rise up to 225W. The set of controls here is standard (level, cutoff frequency and phase switch) and internal connectors are linear RCA and separate LFE input.

The first thing you notice while listening to Dali Concept Sub is not a record power of the built-in amplifier. Probably, due to this reason the sub didn't become a champion by dynamics and bass depth, but generally its sound differs by extreme correctness and clearness. The relief of low frequencies is represented surprisingly correctly, with accurate rhythmic foundation of music. Traditionally for the closed design a sound resolution is also high. Such valuable qualities were not irrelevant for movies too. However, sometimes (at global LF-effects) the sound needed a bit more primal energy and animal power, but this was completely compensated by carefully placed bass accents.
