Infinity BETA SW12 Subwoofer

On the front panel of Infinity Beta SW-12 subwoofer there is a 305-mm driver with a conical diffuser, made using the proprietary CMMD technology (Ceramic Metall Matrix Diafragme). RABOS system (Room Acoustic Bass Optimization System), developed by Infinity to adapt the loudspeaker's sound to the acoustic conditions of the room and designed to suppress room resonances, is very useful for the consumer.

Functions and management. Next to the RABOS switch and its adjustments there are the usual organs: knobs of total volume and crossover frequencies (do not duplicate RABOS). The low-pass filter sets the rolloff at 24 dB/octave. Switching connectors are: high-amplitude inputs and outputs, linear stereo input (with the help of the switch, the signal can be directed to the crossover or bypassing it). The input for the right channel of the linear signal is used as LFE.

Sound. The American subwoofer produces quite focused, dense, superbly articulated sound. Its high-speed qualities are excellent. Playing almost any musical and theatrical programs in different energy and spectral modes at its available frequency field, it does not show any trace of blurring or imposing. The subwoofer sensitively tracks the acoustic subtleties in the transmission of musical classics, at the same time, being in perfect contact with the front pair; and in the "shock" movie scenes it produces an absolutely authentic effect conceived by the tape makers. The dynamic range of Infinity Beta SW-12 is very wide. The words "perfectly balanced sound" correctly determine the nature of this subwoofer.
