Audiovector K-Sub SubwooferAudiovector K-sub is equipped with 250mm driver. The diffusor of the speaker is made of carbon-mineral composite. Quite wide suspension of the speaker calls your attention - looks like it is made to lengthen the trajectory of diaphragm's shift. The head is activated by the amp of D class, powered by a powerful toroidal transformer. Four legs-hubs between the stand and the speaker form a gap required for free breath of the bass-reflex port, being arranged in the bottom. K-Sub has high-level inputs and outputs, which are convenient for construction of 2.1 system. There are linear inputs (one of them functions as LFE) and outputs. The sub can automatically turn on/off at having/no signal on any of the inputs. High musicality of the K-Sub bass is already heard at the end of "performed" by the sub short bass solo (the melody in the range of an octave and a half). Within the limits of its spectral competence the sub turned out to be a worthy partner to shelf speaker systems. Only the deepest bass notes were slightly detached from the rest. K-Sub took them as if in a bit different sound position - but it is very beautiful: soft, velvety. The structure of the register is very high. Boost controller operates quite effectively, but without a hint of rudeness: frequency bottom becomes more convex, weighty, but does not lose mobility. Audiovector sub will stand up for the theatrical bass. But even in the most harsh, brutal cinema episodes you feel all the time the severity of its sound manners, associated with the Danish school of sound. ![]() |
