JBL Northridge E30 Bookshelf speakers

E30 is one of the shelf models of the updated Northridge line. All the systems of E-series are characterized by great power reserve. So, E30 with nominal power of 70 W is capable to hold 280W electric impact. Diffusers of mid-low-frequency speakers like in all representatives of the modified Northridge are made by the patented Polyplass technology: the layer of viscous polymer is laid on corrugated cellulose base. A 19-mm membrane of the tweeter is also a two-layer structure: a polymer dome with titanium cover. Magnetic field of the heads is weakened by the shields. Separate switching of bands is provided (bi-wiring and bi-amping).

The fundamental advantage of the American pair is a perfect "signature" bass. Its power, purity and record depth cause the realism of transfer of low-frequency dynamics of large symphonic forms. Competently attempting the deep layers, JBL E30 manages to keep clear structure of LF content, which is maintained at any rational volume levels. For all these charms you easily forgive the bass some "apartness", which can be considered, if desired, as a slight underlining. A little emphasis on very high-frequency details (brushes, plates, triangles) is also noticeable. With extraordinary macro-dynamic talents, allowing the system to handle powerful bursts of energy, a fine structure of sound matter is often left without proper attention.

Northridge E30 is a powerful speaker system with developed low-frequency possibilities that allow us to recommend it confidently to both the lovers of modern energetic music and builders of home cinema. Theatrical installation is better built with a help of "related" Northridge systems.
