Mission m31 Bookshelf speakers

Mission m31 is the system from m3 series, which consists of 10 models (floor speaker systems, central channel and subwoofers). In all Mission speaker systems LF/MF head is installed in the upper part of the faceplate, tweeter - in the lower part. Increased depth of acoustic design is also typical for the British speaker systems: in addition to the increase of useful volume, this allows to contain in horizontal direction quite long tube of bass-reflex port (to decrease tuning frequency of resonator), keeping fairly large useful area of the outlet. The body of m31 is made of 18-mm MDF; to increase a constructive rigidity it is equipped with horizontal bulkhead; felt pads are laid along walls as absorber. "Anti-diffraction" faceplate is reinforced by a figured plastic lap. The tweeter of m3 works on neodymium magnet. Cellulose diffuser of LF/MF speaker is hemispherical.

Mission m31 plays comfortably that is undoubtedly caused by smooth tonal balance - no any vulgar accents - and perfect dynamical resources almost in the whole frequency range. Sound image is filled with smallest details, creating the sense of transparent depth. This sense is kept in even very quiet moments. It doesn't also disappear in massive symphonic forte. Dynamics of deep bass is almost as good as enviable dynamics of MIDs: excellent mid-low-frequency linking opens the fullness of sound image of many musical instruments, the sound of which is often perceived to be as if uptight in the performance of shelf speaker systems. However, the deeper low-frequency forms are, the more uncertain they are; increased volume level also decreases the quality of bass - possibilities of compact system are not unlimited. The image of scenic space is closed to listener and very detailed.

Mission m31 has almost all advantages of small speaker monitor that allows us to recommend this model for any musical and all the more theatrical tasks.
