JBL Studio L830 Bookshelf speakers

JBL L830 shelf speaker systems represent Studio L series, which is characterized by the presence of HF speakers. A 19-mm ultrahigh-frequency tweeter with the dome made of Mylar material, which is placed into horn, provides the playing of frequencies up to 40 kHz. A 25-mm tweeter with the dome made of pure titan is responsible for general HF area. A 150-mm speaker with Polyplas diffuser answers for low frequencies. This material allows to suppress internal resonances and increase rigidity. All the speakers have aluminum frames and magnetic shielding. The edges of the body are very rounded to reduce the diffraction of sound. The bass reflex is made by Freeflow technology; it allows air to move freely and noiseless. Convenient gilt terminals are designed for connecting the speaker systems by Bi-Wiring scheme.

Sound. The speaker systems play quite brassily, in open, directly emotional and relaxed manner. I would like to note a perfect, organized, quite deep and elastic bass. This is the expected branded feature of these American systems. The sound of L830 is dense and very rich across the whole range. The systems transfer high-frequency information a bit effusively plainly, with slightly overdone articulation. Speaking about tone, the model slightly underlines the edges of the spectrum. While playing classical programs, a light shade of metal appears in the sound of acoustic music instruments. Dynamical potential of the model is very big. Passages of bass guitar in rock compositions, riffs of saxophones and powerfully accented sonority in recordings of big bands really impress. If you like to listen to rock and other dynamic music and you have no space for floor speaker systems at home, JBL L830 will be a great choice.
