Energy RC-10 Bookshelf speakers

Energy RC-10 are the only shelf loudspeakers in the Reference Connoisseur series. An inch tweeter with aluminum membrane and special diffuser, and also 140mm mid-woofer with Kevlar diffuser are used in them. The branded elliptical suspension with transverse notches (Ribbed Elliptical surround technology) allows the diffuser to move with greater amplitude and minimal distortions.

The bass-reflex port is placed to the back. The body is reinforced with internal rib stiffeners. Wall mounting with a help of optional Macromount bracket is provided. In this case foam plugs for the bass reflex (included), which turn the loading into a "closed box", will be useful.

From the first minutes of the listening the sound of this pair may seem to be not very balanced and boomy, with a noticeable accent at low frequencies. But if you damp the ports, the playback will be absolutely linear, but with slightly reduced response from bass.

It is not impossible that you can select an intermediate variant, using less dense material of sound absorber. In closed design the sound of Energy RC-10 differs by very high detailing throughout the whole range and at any musical material. Timbres of "live" instruments are also transferred reliably - they are close to natural and quite accurate at any volume.

Sound stage doesn't have an amazing depth, but its parameters are stable at any volume level. Localization of the imaginary sources can be considered to be optimal.
