Pioneer A-305R Amplifier

This amplifier is very graceful device with asymmetric control layout, emphasized its functional purposes. A-305R has a very unusual form of electronic inputs selector buttons and monitor, which are made on microcircuit with little light-emitting diode in metallic circle in the very middle. They remind me the elevators of the firm "Otis", where the same construction of buttons is used for protection from underage vandals. The remote control allows the amplifier to provide a system wire control by blocks of Pioneer with SR. Altogether the console allows controlling 26 functions of different blocks in this case. There are no power sockets in this amplifier, but power-off the CD player, tuner and tape recorder is possible from the console. Despite of availability of record control from only one tape recorder, the copying of recording is possible from any to any. Not only timbres are excluded at direct copy mode, but also other additional chains: loudness and balance control. The possibility of confident work of the amplifier with low-impedance acoustic was confirmed by measurements: at stated power of 60W and distortion of 1.0% the amplifier gave only 0.074% at 57W. If timbre control stands on all fours with characteristics at low frequencies, the range of regulation is rather bigger at high ones.
