Technics SU-V500 Amplifier

Loudness is upset in this amplifier, and that is not minus, but consequence of individual point of company's view to necessity of this regulation. Firmed development of "New Class A" output cascade is applied in section of SU-V500 power amplifier. It is using in the amplifiers of "Technics" about 15 years and made a good showing, because it combines effectiveness of B class with low distortions of A class. Realized in this amplifier variant on one hybrid microcircuit did itself justice: on demand of 4 Ohm output power was about 53W with distortion of 0,092%, and that was better than stated in description. The clips for acoustics are traditional, with springs: well-known construction, but checked and dependable for this output power level. Monitor mode is possible only for one of tape recorders, the same is with copying. Tone control is made very carefully and smartly: measures showed absolutely equal rise and dam at low and high frequencies. The remote control of SU-V500 is the most graceful, what is not surprising, because only two elements of AAA type are used for supply. Distance control is quite developed: turning on the power or standby mode, switching the input selector and volume control of the amplifier and also control of other system blocks - tuner, CD player and two tape recorders, one of which can be DCC (in all 35 functions). The amplifier showed very flat sounding at different compositions and managed with any genres very well.
