Exposure 2010S2 Amplifier

Exposure Company has completely redesigned its most popular line of 2010 and all models with improved sound characteristics have the S2 index.

Input selector with less distortions and output cascades were improved in 2010S2 amplifier (they are now powerful Sanken transistors). In the power supply unit there are toroidal transformer and woofer capacitors with high volume. The appearance of a new device stayed almost the same so it will easily fit into the system with the components of previous years. Like its predecessor 2010S2 has no controls of timbre and, in fact, always works in Source Direct mode.

On the pack panel there are six audio inputs and the pre-amp output to extend the architecture. The model is equipped with the remote control, which can control other devices of Exposure.

The amplifier's sound is open, light, with a slight accent in top frequencies. The top itself is crisp and clear - micro-dynamics is perfect. However, it turned out that the amp is not too fond of music recordings with a dense spectrum. At the work with such phonograms the overall resolution slightly falls and the separation of instruments reduces too. You should experiment with network cables and filters. Dynamics of playing is moderate, but sufficient for the most of the genres. Lower bass is slightly weakened, so there is a slight lack of depth and scale in organ works.

However, sound resolution of Exposure 2010S2 amp in the whole range (especially in MIDs) turned out to be incredibly high. And in general, having such price, its middle range can be considered to be just exemplary. Timbres of instruments are played amazingly naturally and female vocal truly charms.
