JVC AL-A151BK TurntableJVC AL-A151BK is a semi-automatic vinyl player with minimal number of control and adjustment elements. Its automation turns on only when you return tonearm to its original position after playing a vinyl record. The player's body is fully made of plastic. Drive mechanism and pickup system in AL-A151BK are rigidly installed (without springs), except the engine with belt-drive, which is screwed to the chassis on a layer, made of hard rubber with the thickness of about 1 mm. The tonearm, equipped with T4P typed pickup, provides neither manual regulation of needle's pressure on a record, nor antiskating. Lowering and rising of the needle on the track of a vinyl recording is carried out by a rotary knob. Turntable of the player is a cast, made of aluminum alloy by pressure casting with rubber layer. Installation and bringing the device into working condition are made quite easily as well as control over it. The player's mechanics works relatively noiselessly and reliably. The sound differs by overly accentuated high frequencies and at the same time distortions can appear in dynamical passages. Space of sound is on the average level as well as the sound on low frequencies. ![]() |
