NAD C325BEE Amplifier

Visually this novelty differs from all previous budgetary NAD amplifiers, which the company began to produce already in 1978, by a 3,5-millimeter connector on the front panel - it is designed to connect ipod or any other MP3 player. The amplifier has everything for its price status: an electromechanical volume control and a seven-source selector, two recording inputs, a switchable tone block and a balance regulator. But also there is something interesting. NAD C325BEE has an output from the pre-section and an input for power amplifier. And one more insignificant, but curious fact: solder without lead is used for the soldering of all elements. I do not know how much C325 is environmentally cleaner than its competitors, but it certainly should not sound worse. An external inspection shows that the amplifier is made decently.

The first thing that you pay attention to when listening to music through C325 is a sound stage. It seems to be much deeper. Localization is moderately sharp, plans are well separated, imaginary images do not get mixed up and, most importantly, do not seem to be imaginary at all.

The amp has good dynamics - the sound is not listless, C325 can make a sensitive bass kick. Describing the sound of the amplifier, you can talk not only about the good structure and accuracy of the transmission of timbres, but also operate with such lofty concepts as "articulation" and "emotional expressiveness" (but these qualities do not appear in the whole band, only in the vocal area).

Speaking about other characteristics, the advantage of NAD against the competitors is not so obvious. Detailing is high, but not extruded. Tops are natural only partially - voice sibilants are reproduced vividly, naturally, but the metallic sonorous discants turn out to be somewhat powdered, unconvincing. But, comparing these flaws with the merits, you still come to the conclusion that NAD C325BEE is an extraordinary thing.
