Magnat Quantum 753 Bookshelf speakers

A considerable weight (more than 9 kg/20 lb.) of Magnat Quantum 753 is conditioned by the desire to damp maximally the bodies. Lower part is a powerful 3 cm (1.2") plate and the thickness of two-layered front panel reaches 40 mm (1.6"). To increase the feedback in LF-range there is the branded Airflex bass reflex with big air port on the back wall. A huge 170mm (6.5") woofer with aluminum diffuser, covered with ceramic particles, is loaded on it. Maximally inert cast basket and vented sound coil of larger diameter are among its features. The branded fmax tweeter with extended to 50 kHz working band is installed for playback of high frequencies. Such impressive characteristics are achieved by using powerful, magnetic system and special damping coating, hardening inch fabric dome.

The sound of Magnat Quantum 753 is deep, with well elaborated middle almost without annoying color. Sibilants are slightly underlined, but voices, at the same time, are played with natural overhangs. However, the tweeter a bit steals tiny nuances, but in terms of intensity behaves extremely well. Basses are confident in depth, clear and weighty. Stage is formed quite volumetric and scaled. Portrayal is maximal in the center of virtual space.
