The branded NRS design with the bottom port, for effective work of which there are small legs, is used in Syntar 516 too. A serious 160-mm woofer with polymer diffuser and 27-mm tweeter with silver (this is the color of damping coating) fabric dome and neodymium magnetic system. Crossover frequency of bands is unusually low - 1380 Hz, but, according to the manufacturers, exactly in this way we can get maximal similarity with the pointed radiation and build an accurate sound stage. Tonal balance of the systems is noticeably lightened, but this feature gives the sound unusual freshness. Syntar 516 differ by high level dynamics and confident for its sizes basses. MIDs are very transparent, but from the tonal point of view - a bit colored. Chario Syntar 516 has high separation of instruments and sufficient timbral variety. And all of these is with the highest sound resolution and without noticeable side-tones of compression at high volumes. The tweeter's character combines enviable detailing and concentration of separate discants. However, we should also mention the construction of sound stage. The space is monolithic and impressive by width. The images of the foreground are slightly brought to listener, but at the same time you feel three-dimensionality of panorama. ![]() |
