Atoll IN30 Amplifier

Atoll IN30 has a symmetric circuit technique and is fully assembled on the discrete component basis. Output transistors receive the energy from the mighty toroidal transformer and the total capacity of buffer capacitors is considerable 20000 UF. MOSFETs are used here as transistors, because French engineers think that their sound characteristics are the most optimal.

The amplifier has quite wide switching capabilities. It is able to receive the signal through four pairs of linear RCA or through frontal mini-jack, which is designed for portable equipment. Bypass is also provided, at the activation of which the device can be switched into the power amplifier mode (will be useful in the amplification of front pair in multichannel systems).

The sound of the amplifier is comfortable and neutral at high degree. The main emphasis is made on the quality of middle frequencies. In this range we can see extreme naturalness of the instruments, the richness of tones and perfect sound resolution. Vocal parts are also played perfectly - they are full of life and emotions. But despite of the fact that the middle is very melodic, we can notice some "warm" coloring sometimes.

In general, small gaps only on the edges of the range spit out a small price of the amplifier. Bass band seems to be a bit pursed in both dynamics and depth, what, however, doesn't interfere the playback of most musical genres. Upper case is generally neutral, but at the abundance of HF components in the record tiny nuances as if fray, escape. Images of the instruments in sound scene are partly increased in sizes, but the positions are correct. The space at the same time is pretty compact.
