Canton Fonum 301 DC Bookshelf speakersCanton Fonum 301 DC is a two-way bass-reflex speaker. Its overall dimensions are 235x360x220 mm. A removable metal decorative grille, which gives additional solidity to the appearance, hides the bass-reflex port and two speakers: a woofer with a diameter of 20 cm and a tweeter with a dome diameter of 2.5 cm. The rated power of the amplifier is 60 W, on music programs - up to 90 W per channel. The frequency response sets up a respectful attitude towards the system developers: it is clear that "301" is good luck. The unevenness can be safely characterized by a spread of ±2 dB over the entire acoustic range, and the "ruler" in the region from 1 kHz to 4 kHz (zero spread!) forced us to repeat the measurements several times. 26 kHz is the cutoff frequency of the high-frequency region given in the data sheet, of course, provided by the system. A not too hasty decline in the low-frequency region suggests a successful phase inverter design. If you manage to find a good place for these speakers in your apartment, not every connoisseur with his eyes closed will be able to classify the system as a shelf system. In addition, the speakers have high sensitivity: 92 - 94 dB. The characteristic of the input resistance module gives a nominal resistance value of 8 ohms, the minimum is 4 ohms. Bass reflex tuning frequency 60 Hz, loudspeaker filter crossover frequency 1.5 kHz. ![]() |
