Aiwa NSX-S30 Mini stereo systemThe "thirtieth" model in the long S line is the second of the younger ones. This is probably why the developers did not equip the cassette player with an auto-reverse, assigning it the role of a CD copier to a "normal" type tape. Record? It's easy - you press one button that synchronizes the start of the CD, and that's it. If you are not lazy and enter the duration of the cassette from the remote control, then Quince will independently distribute the tracks along the sides of the tape. Interestingly, the S30 dispenses with DSP modes, but it is possible to connect additional speakers to create real surround using live Surround. You can do even cooler by purchasing, for example, an active subwoofer. The NSX-S30 has RDS functionality in a tri-band receiver; it remains only to "untwist" all FM radio broadcasters to transmit useful information to the scrolling line of the display. Small figures of the musical calendar are attached to the side and are read only close up. A signature feature - the illumination of the upper window of the player - looks very impressive in a darkened room. It is convenient to control the system from the remote control, however, because of the combined keys (the second value can be used when the Shift register is pressed, as in a computer), you have to press the buttons with both hands. The CD player control is located on the front panel, so the changer buttons are under the drawer. This provokes to hoist the mini-system higher, although the carousel, even without buttons, falls into place even with a slight push.
The stereo zone of the system is not wide, so it is advisable to turn the speakers towards the listener. The sound is quite powerful, with a pronounced bass (three steps of T.Bass). Along with the bass, mid-high frequencies stand out noticeably, because the native speakers by 10 dB (three times in volume) raises the sensitivity in the range of 750-1500 Hz. Having crossed the top, the sound comes to life within an octave (1.5-13 kHz). Emphasizing the timbres of musical instruments and the voices of the representatives of the beautiful half of humanity gives the NSX-S30 sound brightness and enthusiasm. At 20-30% power, we noted a solid volume and the approach of the sound picture to the listener (in the 1-3 kHz zone, hearing is especially sensitive). The characteristic bump turned out to be not so terrible. And a small frequency response spread in the full range of 100-20000 Hz is about 3 dB - the result is very good. ![]() |
