DALI Lektor 2 Bookshelf speakersDALI Lektor 2 is a small speaker from the younger series. The depth of the case is small, the bass reflex ports are placed on the front panel, and on the back wall there is a bracket for fastening to the wall with a single screw. It is very convenient for those who do not have a place on the shelves or special racks. The body is finished with a film, and the front panel is covered with a nice on the touch matte composition. Tweeter with a large 28 mm textile dome is mounted on a metal pad. In combination with a mini-horn, this gives a wide and even dispersion of high frequencies. The same diffusers as in the older series, made from wood fibers, are used for the MF/LF driver. They can be easily recognized by the company's brown color. The suspension of the diffuser is very soft, apparently, to avoid friction losses. Very light diffusers and free suspension contribute to a fast and dynamic sound. A pair of large screw terminals in protective plastic caps is almost completely recessed in the niche on the back wall of the case for more convenient placement on the wall. In DALI Lektor 2 I mostly liked such aspect as the naturalness of sound. At the same time, the degree of freedom of these small loudspeakers is very, very good. The overall balance is a little warm, the middle is clear and charming. The top is well connected to the middle, it is clean, but it seems that it is rounded out at the highest frequencies a little earlier than desirable, which gives to voice of these loudspeakers a greater roundness and a peculiar edible charm. The main contribution, of course, is made by the company's diffuser made from natural wood fiber. Despite their non-ideality and compromise, as well as technological difficulties in their manufacture and problems with repeatability, the first places in natural sounding are still occupied by natural materials. Instead what voices DALI Lektor 2 has! It's a very nice branded sound from a famous Danish producer. |
