Canton Ergo 602 Bookshelf speakers

Build quality of Canton Ergo 602 speaker systems is brilliant. Bass-reflex body (the port is in the back), finished with wood, differs by the rounded faceplate with velvet surface. Dustproof grill is metallic. On the back panel there is a pair of gilt isolated terminals. The scheme is two-way, with crossover frequency of 3000 Hz. Large driver with an aluminum anodized 180-mm diffuser plays low frequencies and a titanium 25-mm tweeter plays high frequencies.

Canton Ergo 602 distinguish by fresh, distinct sound without apparent signs of coloring. The main midrange band is played in accordance with reference standards - the system bares all timbres, does not distort the color of instruments with simple, clear spectrum as well as with complex. In addition, Ergo 602 are very informative in midrange.

High frequencies will unlikely cause disappointment: discants are detailed, natural and devoid of metallic taste. When you install grills, the transfer of discants smoothes, but acoustic atmosphere is already not so openly, presence effect weakens, an invisible barrier arises between you and music.

I will not find fault with bass too. The systems have good dynamical qualities at low frequencies, deprive of buzzing resonances and the main thing - do not mix low and high basses into one monotonous mess, as it usually happens in inexpensive speaker systems. But top performance is in the playing of lower case - when each bass instrument seems to be substantial and alive, Ergo 602 can't be grasped without help of first class subwoofer.

Small claims can be only to sound stage. With a good depth localization is not too sharp. If Canton Ergo 602 is a little bit more precise in the transfer of space, they could "draw" it in such way that imaginary sources would become real in it.
