Subwoofer Cabasse Pluton II

Pluton II has narrowband design type. The housing consists of two chambers communicating with the external environment through a "coaxial" reflex port. In large diameter pipes (resonator at the camera) is inserted pipe thinner - resonator far (greater volume) camera. Speaker mounted on the partition between the membrane to the resonator chambers. The result is a genuine two-spaced bandpass frequency resonances - which, incidentally, can be clearly seen on the AFC. Subwoofer is equipped with standard and level controls bandwidth and discrete - phase. There are linear and high-amplitude inputs/outputs. On powerful output signal adjusted simple HPF (6 dB/octave). Spikes can not screw - planting their extended sleeve will work successfully as supports. At the maximum cutoff frequency LPF formed exemplary AFC U-shape - a record stable throughout the test. Stable low (0.3%) in the upper bass CED; downconversion nonlinearity level begins to depend on the gain. Average of 94 dB THD - 3%. Lower limit - 26 Hz.

Bass "pluton" mature depth, clean, gives a sense of accomplishment atypical bass foundation. Character narrowband low-emitters - oiled reaction to type fast signals gunfire - here is surprisingly not shown. Cabasse Pluton II with carefully crafted musical program in small-sized companies with the front speakers (used HPF). Delicacy is good in music applications, but Sabu movie lacked power. Tactics of modern sound production requires more "aggressive" bass, even if it is payback for the nonlinearity. Pluton II seems great music subwoofer option for small and medium-sized rooms.
